Some deaths in custody have been widely reported, for instance a senior hospital director who perished in detention after a third of a year in custody.
A detainee held with the deceased testified that he was brought to the exercise area by correctional officers shortly before his death, clearly wounded and naked from the lower body. His body has not been repatriated to Gaza.
