Skydance Paramount Will Cut Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – Report

Skydance Paramount plans to initiate significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, eliminating about 2,000 US jobs as part of a cost-cutting plan valued at $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.

These job cuts are a result of the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed during August valued at $8.4bn.

Further overseas workforce reductions are expected, as the firm aiming to reveal full details during its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.

Previous updates had indicated the company was looking to cut between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by the beginning of next month.

As of December 2024, the organization had almost 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 project-based staff.

The organization did not immediately respond regarding the report.
